Blancpain Léman

The Blancpain Léman Réveil GMT, reference 2041-1130M-53B, is one of the most technically accomplished and practically useful complicated watches in the Léman collection, combining a mechanical alarm, a GMT second time zone, a date display, and a power reserve indicator for the alarm in a package that manages extraordinary complexity with complete visual discipline. This certified pre-owned example is offered in very good condition, with light scratches on the sapphire crystal consistent with careful everyday use, and is presented as watch only. Crafted in polished stainless steel, the 2041-1130M-53B presents the Léman in a beautifully resolved 40mm round case measuring 13.3mm in height, with a sapphire crystal caseback revealing the Calibre 1241 within. Water resistant to 100 metres. The black sunburst dial is commanding and deeply legible, with large luminescent military-style Arabic numerals, a small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock, a date display between 4 and 5 o'clock, an alarm time subdial at 3 o'clock, a 24-hour GMT second time zone subdial at 9 o'clock, and an alarm power reserve sector between 10 and 12 o'clock. The alarm on/off function is controlled by a dedicated pusher at 8 o'clock. Powering the watch is the Blancpain Calibre 1241, a fully in-house automatic movement with 38 jewels, winding the mainspring simultaneously charges the alarm's independent power reserve, a clever mechanical solution that makes this one of the most convenient mechanical alarm watches ever produced.
