Stunning Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona in the classic steel-gold version with white dial and reference 16523. It originates from the last production phase of the legendary Zenith Daytona around the year 2000, just before Rolex switched to its own manufacture caliber 4130. The white dial complements the steel-gold combination perfectly. The golden chronograph sub-dials, hands, and applied hour markers create a beautiful contrast to the bright dial and simultaneously echo the yellow gold of the bezel, crown, pushers, and center links of the Oyster bracelet. However, the actual highlight of this watch is its condition. Case and bracelet are in exceptionally beautiful condition. The characteristic original finish of the lugs is very well preserved, and the case shows strong proportions. Only minimal age-related signs of wear can be found on the yellow gold bezel. The Oyster bracelet is also excellently preserved and practically without stretch. Inside, the legendary Rolex caliber 4030 based on the Zenith El Primero is at work. Rolex extensively modified the Zenith movement to meet its own high standards. The result is one of the most famous chronograph movements in Rolex history. The Zenith Daytona was only produced from 1988 to 2000. Therefore, a Daytona of this generation will not be available anymore – and especially a late P-series combines classic Zenith technology with the final development stage of this coveted reference. The watch runs technically flawlessly and is overall in exceptionally beautiful collector's condition.
